Today was Sam's 15 Month Check-Up (even though he's already 16 months old). Here are a few highlights:
He is now 32 inches tall (81.3 cm) and weighs 22lbs 11.5 oz (10.3 kg). That puts him in the 60th percentile for height and 42nd percentile for weight. His head is now 47cm which is the 49th percentile, so he is no longer a pin-head.
He is still not really talking but he has a few words that we understand:
Mom = Mom, dad, or anyone else he really likes
Da = Dad or "that" when he is pointing at something
Beep-Beep = car, train, or other general motorized vehicle
Go-Go = Ball or run
Other than that he makes a lot of sounds but they don't seem to be consistant.
He can point out his (and other peoples) nose, ears, eyes, and sometimes mouth.
He likes to high-five but the new favorite is to do a fist pound and "blow it up"
He still eats almost anything given to him, besides tomatoes. He is starting to want to eat his fruit first so I think he is actually tasting the food now rather than just inhaling it.
If you tell him NO he will shake his head and wag his finger and then proceed to do what you've told him not to do.
He can throw and kick balls but hasn't figured out how to catch yet.
He takes a short morning nap about half of the time and then sleeps another two or three hours in the afternoon. Bedtime is around 10pm and he wakes up around 8am.
