Whiffle Ball

John and Dylan's dad planned a whiffle ball game and everyone came over here afterward for burgers in the backyard.  Jimmy, Christi, Peter, and Parker also joined us.

John and I met our friends Mike at Claudia McGown for lunch at George's and then took Sam to the park at La Jolla shores.

Len's Birthday Party and Playgroup

We met my prenatal yoga teacher at La Jolla Shores to celebrate her son's first birthday.  On the way home we stopped to say hi to our playgroup friends that were meeting at the rec center. He took a good nap that afternoon!

12 month photo shoot

New car seat

Now that Sam is one it's time for a new carseat. He loves riding in his new one because he can see out the window.  I almost had to pull over the first time we were out because I realized that he was trying to wave "bye-bye" to every car on Mission Blvd!

Kerr Twins Baby Shower

We started the morning by visiting the Clark and Jones girls who had set up a lemonade stand at the end of our street. Then we went out to the Kerr's house for the twins' baby shower.

Playgroup?

Our playgroup was supposed to meet at the Rec Center but we were the only ones who went. Sam had fun playing anyway.

Sam's Birthday Party

We had Sam's party at Kate Sessions Park.  Fortunately it was overcast that day and we pretty much had the park to ourselves.  The big hit of the party were the wagon rides.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO SAM!!!

Sam had a great first birthday! Both Grandmas came with us to music class and everyone sang happy birthday to him.  Then we had lunch at Beaumonts with Peter, Dylan, Sophie, and their mommys.  That night Jimmy and both sets of grandparents took us to dinner at Sammy's.

UTC Play Area

We went to UTC with Peter and Erin.  The train wasn't working and the boys were so sad! Fortunately they have this other neat play area.

Twins!

Not really, but Peter came over to play and I couldn't resist putting Sam in his matching sweater.
