Soccer and Lunch with Dad
After soccer today John met us across the street at the museum cafe for lunch. Then I let Sam play a bit more at the Rec Center to make sure he took a good nap.

18 Month Check Up
Stats:
- 33.25 inches tall (76%ile)
- 24 lb 0.5 oz weight (48%ile)
- 18.9"Head Circumference (65%ile) He was only in the 6%ile when born! Brain must be growing :)
Only a flu shot today so that was a nice change of pace from the usual 3-5 per visit.
He is apparently supposed to be drinking from an open rimmed cup now instead of a sippy cup so I gave him one when we got home. He immediately dumped half on his shirt and the rest on the ground.
He should also be saying at least three words besides family member's names. I told them "beep-beep"=car, "go-go"=ball, and "bowowowow" or "baa"=dog. He also says "Hot" to mean things that is hot or any light. He usually waves his hand as if he is feeling for heat too.
He can "count" to three kind of. It usually goes "two two two two" and once he even said "one two three two two."
He runs very fast and climbs well too. John and I are constantly taking him off of the dining table.
He's down to one nap a day and usually goes down around 1:00 for a couple of hours. Bedtime is 8:30-9:00 and he wakes up around 7:00-8:00.
He has a busy morning schedule of Monday-Soccer, Tuesday-Swimming, Wednesday-Music, Thursday-Swimming, and Friday-Art Class. Our new babysitter, Katie, comes over in the afternoon so that I can work.

KidVentures
It is still really hot here and I couldn't bear to go to the park today, so I took Sam to this indoor play area called KidVentures. It's kind of like Chuck E Cheese without pizza. They have lots of different play rooms but his favorite, by far, was the disco dance room. He had lots of fun and fell asleep in the car on the way home.
The Fire Truck was pretty neat
Helping a little girl onto the stage
He ran out and grabbed this shopping cart...
...which he ran with in circles on the dance floor
