12 Month Checkup and Highlights

Sam had his 12-month check up today and it went well. He was very brave during his shots. He is 30 inches tall and weighs 20lb 7oz, which puts him at about 50% for height and 20% for weight.

• He is walking very well now
• He eats almost anything.  I gave him a burger a couple of weeks ago and he liked it.  Usually he has french toast for breakfast, turkey sandwich with veggies and fruit for lunch, then whatever meat plus veggies and fruit for dinner. 
• He doesn't really say "words" but says a lot of consonant sounds.  He may be saying "This" when he points (or that may just be the sound he makes). I think he says "Da" for john too.
• He waves "bye-bye" like it's his job.  
• He still does music on Thursdays and started swimming lessons today. Ashleigh the babysitter comes MWF afternoons so i can work.
• He still naps twice a day most days.  He wakes up around 8-9AM then naps in the stroller around 10:30AM for about half an hour.  Then he goes down for an afternoon nap anywhere from 2-4PM and sleeps for a couple of hours.  His bedtime is anywhere from 9:30-10:30PM. 
• He likes playing with his stacking toys and cars. He's also gotten really into books lately. "That's not my truck" and "Hey Diddle Diddle" are his favorites right now.
